10 questions

Here are the questons that we are thinking to deal with. 

Is death penalty not only applied to murderers but also rapists and thieves?

Is the death penalty cheaper than keeping the criminal alive?

Is it hypocritical?

What’s the difference between corporal punishment and capital punishment?

Why does it take so much time for the execution to actually take place?

Can criminal avoid being executed if they pay enough money?

What happens if the person who was executed and later found to be innocent?

How many cases are there where someone was told to be executed though later found innocent and was able to avoid death penalty?

How many prisons actually let the criminals in death row do work for society in the prison?

How often does criminal in the death row try to escape? And how many of them actually succeed?

  1. You've asked some very good questions and some of them are quite unexpected. For example, as it would be frightening for prisoners on death row to escape from prison, it's useful to ask if there have been cases of it happening. The possibility of escape I suppose could be an additional argument on the pro-death penalty side. I also like the way you take an international perspective in your questions by asking questions like "Is death penalty not only applied to murderers but also to rapists and thieves"? Finally, I'm pleased that you take nothing for granted by asking the excellent question: "Is the death penalty cheaper than keeping the criminal alive?" You might be surprised by the answer you find to this question.
