A mothers perspective

I have written in Vicki Schieber's voice and perspective who is a mother who lost her daughter due to murder. I used factual imformation from the article
www.deathpenaltyinfo.org/new-voice-mother-shares-grief-and-joins-call-mercy

My name is Vicki Schieber. I know what it is like to loose someone you love. In 1998 May 7th, my daughter, Shannon, was raped and murdered. She was a gorgeous young lady who was just fineshing her first year of graduate school on a full scholarship at the Warton  School at The University of Pennsylvania. Every year, I cannot help but be reminded how she had such high hopes for the future.
Although I do grieve over the loss of my beautiful girl, I wish that the murderer, TerranceWilliams is not executed.

The first several years, my husbad and I were so very depressed and angry that we did not know how, or if it was even mentally possible to get on with our lives, but when working as an advocate for other people who have also lost their loved ones due to violence and crime to help get through the pain and grief , I was enlightened on the fact that some of the lucky people find a way to forgive and completely let go of  any terrible, hurtful and aggrivating thing that may have happened in the past.

The core reason why my husband and I wish to spare the life of Terrance Williams is because of our Catholic religeon. According to the Bible, it says to "Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us." Wich means, we are commanded by God to forgive anything or anyone who wronged us, just like how God forgives us of our sins. I believe in this verse, so the least I can do is to ask to spare the life of Terranance Williams

When my husband and I conjunted our request, the public wondered of we would win as well as the district attorney who was very worried for our emotional health.

Because of my catholic religeon, I have fully forgiven the man who killed my daughter, so my only wish and desire is that the public, district attorney and the government realize and respect my wishes to keep Terrance Williams alive.
