What happens if the person who was executed and later found to be innocent?

 

In Japan, the Minister of Law will make an apology and if the family is still alive, government will pay for the family indemnification.

However, when the police or prosecution were hiding some evidence or were faking some evidence, the person who knew about the cheat will of course get punished.
